Sour cream150 g
Butter(melted)25 g
Wheat flour160 g
Gouda cheese(grated, gouda or emmental)100 g
Fresh parsley(a small bunch)1 bunch
Sugar2 tsp
Salt0.5 tsp
Garlic powder0.33 tsp
Baking powder0.67 tsp

Instructions

Batter

Whisk the eggs, sour cream, melted butter, sugar, salt and garlic powder.

Add the grated cheese and finely chopped parsley, and stir.

Add the flour with the baking powder and mix to a batter — it will be thick and sticky, which is exactly right.

Cooking

Heat the waffle iron. Spoon in the batter and cook for 5–7 minutes until golden.

Move to a rack. Serve with a fresh vegetable salad 🌟

Freezing and reheating
Freeze for up to 2–3 months
Cool completely. Freeze in a single layer, then transfer to a bag, container or vacuum pack.

Toaster, oven or air fryer — they come back crisp outside and soft inside.
